The THERMOTRON RF-8, designed by Yamamoto Vinita, is a clinical hyperthermia system which uses electromagnetic waves to reach tumor tissue wherever it is located in the body. The device was developed in Japan through collaborative work of scientists and engineers in both Japan and the US, under the sponsorship of the Japan Science and Technology Cooperation.

The device works by heating a region of the body between a pair of parallel-opposed circular electrodes. It is possible to selectively heat regions of different depth by using combinations of large and small electrodes.  The system is a hyperthermia therapy breakthrough because of its ability to uniformly head deep-seated tumors. This is possible because of the self-excited oscillator that is used to adapt the fluctuation of the specific frequency of the target region.

Maximax International Inc is currently expanding the use of the THERMOTRON RF-8 into the Middle East and North Africa. We believe that the device will be a strong addition to cancer therapies in the region because of its affordability as well as its tested success.
